The port contributes to development through goods and services, becomes a collecting port for the natural products of the people of West Kalimantan. The typical commodities of West Kalimantan can be handled by the Port of Kendawangan if the port can serve loading and unloading of cargo ships (general cargo) that can transport logistics and other general cargo goods.
The purpose of writing the final project report is to plan the structure of the Deck On Pile Cargo Pier at the Kendawangan Port, Ketapang Regency, West Kalimantan. The wharf structure is designed based on the applicable design criteria and includes the design of a trestle that connects the pier to the mainland. The design includes determining the layout of the pier, dimensions of the structure and structural elements of the pier, structural modeling, design of reinforcement for structural elements, and analysis of soil bearing capacity.
Structural analysis was carried out with the help of SAP2000 software to determine the reliability of the structure against the loads acting on the structure. The results of the modeling are in the form of a unity check ratio (UCR), structural deflection, internal forces, and reactions to the placement of structural elements of the pier. The forces in the structural elements obtained from the modeling results are used as the basis for the reinforcement of the structural elements of the pier.
The results of the final project include the design of the pier and trestle which includes the dimensions of the structure and the dimensions of the structural elements, the details of reinforcement based on the internal forces that work, and the depth required for piles that are able to withstand structural reactions.
