One of the organic waste treatments is through dehydration, whereas the final product can be used as animal feed. This method is suitable to be implemented in Cariu Village that generate plenty of organic waste specifically from Pasar Baru Cariu. Moreover, there are also an abundance of poultry farm that produce 3.956.529 kg chicken in 2018. Thus, this study is done to determine the organic waste treatment effectivity through the dehydration method. There are 3 types of animal feed that was used in this study: Pakan Komersial, Pakan Campuran, and Pakan Food Waste. Each type of animal feed was fed to DOC-7 Broiler Chicken for 20 days and the chicken were weighed daily. After 20 days, the chicken and animal feed were sent to SIG Laboratory. The effectivity of organic waste treatment using dehydration method is 98%, so that the reduction of organic waste through dehydration is pretty high. Based on the laboratory result, the best broiler chicken is the one that was fed Pakan Komersial. Physically, the Broiler Chicken that was fed Pakan Komersial is better than the one that was fed Pakan Campuran. The biological test result on the other hand shows that both variance of the chicken is quite poor. Furthermore, the best animal feed type in this study is Pakan Komersial. Conversely, the result of the animal feed from food waste shows that there are several parameters that are not up to animal feed standards. text |
