Summary: | Utilization of information technology in the education system has benefits such as saving
operational costs and facilitating access to learning. One form of utilizing information
technology in the education system is the creation of an online learning system. At the
university level, the use of information technology in the education system can also be
applied to students' final assignments. The work on the final project requires intense
communication with related lecturers, independent learning, exploration, then a strong
commitment from students, especially during this COVID-19 pandemic, these things are
very difficult to do. There were also many cases when working on this online final project
where many students lost contact with their supervisors and did not complete the assigned
tasks on time. Therefore, adaptive teaching methods are adopted to be able to solve the
challenges of completing online assignments. The adaptive method is a method that has
phases that will and/or are being passed by final project students to be completed in stages
and divide all students into supporting clusters. Adopters of this adaptive method will be
translated into features that will be illustrated in the final project management system. The
system which is implemented in prototype form will then be tested using usability testing to
assess its usefulness, usability and desirability parameters to see its ability to face the
challenges of working on an online final project. The results and conclusions from the test
are that the user strongly agrees that the features that will be in the system described by the
prototype will be very useful in optimizing the work of the final project.
