Summary: | The Bolu Jadoel Company is a business that was established in 2017. This newly developed company is still undergoing continuous changes. This company was founded by Mrs. Teti and is engaged in the cake industry. The problem faced by this company is the decline in company performance which is indicated by a lack of motivation which causes low employee contributions in other words low employee engagement. Based on these problems, this study aims to explore the driving factors for employee engagement and to find the priority of the driving factors at the Bolu Jadoel company to improve the company's performance.
To analyze the factors driving employee engagement, the researcher uses the theory of 6 driving factors from Aon Hewitt which is further divided into 21 indicators which are made into statements and then distributed in the form of a questionnaire to a total sample of 27 employees. After collecting the questionnaire results, the data is processed and calculated using the SPSS application and finally continued by making an importance-performance matrix graph to determine priorities that must be improved and solve problems that are being faced by the Bolu Jadoel company.
The results of this study indicate that there are four of the six driving factors that influence employee engagement at the Bolu Jadoel company. These factors include the basic, company practice, leadership, and opportunity. The basic which has indicators; (a) job security, (b) safety, (c) work-life balance and leadership with indicators; (a) senior leadership, (b) bureaucratic leadership, (c) supervision, and (d) collaboration are factors in quadrant I, which means it is the company's priority to review and improve these factors and increase employee engagement at the Bolu Jadoel company. |
