In this evaluation, the review focuses on the reactivation of the five production wells on PF-Platform. The wells penetrate BR-Formations which is a carbonate reservoir with bottom water drive mechanism. Produced fluid is heavy oil (20-21 oAPI) with water cut reaches about 97%. Evaluation in this study relates to the design of stages number and horsepower of ESP. The design is evaluated by using Nodal anlysis and Guo’s Method, which implements equation fromTypeCurve IPR. Type Curve IPR is Inflow Performance Relationship analysis technique, which was developed to determine and predict the performance of the reservoir, with the bottom water drive mechanism. The IPR equation gives the linear relationship between the flow rate ratio and the reservoir pressure ratio. Then the results obtained from both methods, compared with the results of ESP design from the company. Then also determined the optimum design of flow rate, number of stages, and total horsepower for ESP, by paying attention to the balance between the formation’s ability and the pump capacity. Moreover, in this thesis, is also determined degree of bottom water drive mechanism (strong, moderate, or weak), as well as forecasting reservoir peformance using TypeCurve IPR. The result is obtained that The typeCurve IPR can be applied to P-Field and provide information that the field has a strong bottom water drive mechanism. text
