However, with these all potential, Kedonganan Beach and the surrounding area are less organized and also have poor environmental quality. This is due to the existence of the Kedonganan Fish Market, which currently does not have an adequate waste water management system. In addition, Kedonganan Village is also included in the South Bali area which is experiencing seawater intrusion that caused by high groundwater exploration. The seawater intrusion that occurs has resulted in the ground water in this area being unable to be utilized by the local community. Therefore, the problem of seawater intrusion and wastewater treatment that occurs in this area needs more attention. This study was conducted with the aim of formulating the idea of designing the Kedonganan Beach Front Area by applying the WSUD technique as the response to water problems that occur in the area. The design method used is fragmental method which begins with collecting issues related to the area and producing a design simulation, with the total area is ± 8.87 Hectares. In general, the functions that will be developed are functions that can accommodate work, living, recreational, and educational activities. The design simulation includes land use, building mass and intensity, circulation and pedestrian network system, open space, signage system, preservation, activity support, and utilities system. The WSUD techniques that applied in the area are techniques with the focus on accelerating infiltration into the soil by developing building areas and open spaces as rainwater harvesting areas. text |
