For direct use, geothermal can be utilized to heat outdoor pond water aquaculture to reach optimum growth temperature of fish, like carp and tilapia have optimum growth temperature in 29o ± 1oC. However, the problems of using geothermal energy in outdoor pond that changes in geothermal temperature that is used as warm water for heating pond water and changes in air temperature. Both can cause pond water temperature different from desired optimum growth temperature. Therefore, control system is needed to control flow rate of geothermal fluid to reach pond water desired temperature 29o ± 1oC. This research is conducted to simulate and analyze the effect of PID controller in controlling pond water temperature under geothermal temperature and air temperature disturbance. With proportional, integral and derivative gain are 3,99, 1,96 and 0,04 respectively, the result shows that PID control is adequate for overcoming the effect of both disturbance and controlling the pond water temperature at 29o ± 1oC optimum growth temperature of carp and tilapia. PID controller controls geothermal water supplied to balance the effect of both disturbance. text
