Based on the Sustainability Report, the company stated that it is currently implementing a sustainable product distribution system through logistics optimization. Currently, logistics optimization is carried out in the upstream part of production, while the downstream part of production in the process of product delivery to customers has not been carried out. The product delivery process problem is modeled into a variant Vehicle Routing Problem which is solved by a heuristic approach using the Clarke and Wright Algorithm and an optimization approach using Lingo 18.0 software. The researcher has a hypothesis that there are differences in the results of solving logistic optimization problems in these two methods. The purpose of this study was to determine the potential for improving vehicle routes with a heuristic approach using the Clarke and Wright Algorithm and optimization methods using Lingo 18.0 software to help solve the company's logistics optimization problems. The process is carried out in 3 stages, firstly calculating the mileage of the existing route, secondly calculating the mileage of theroute Clarke and Wright Algorithm and thirdly calculating the mileage of the Lingo 18.0 software route. The results of the mileage of the existing route are then compared against the two methods to obtain the minimum distance in solving logistic optimization problems. The results showed that there were differences in the results of solving problems using the two methods. The optimization approach using Lingo 18.0 software has a minimal distance so that the potential for improving vehicle routes to existing routes is considered the best. Route improvement using Lingo 18.0 software against existing routes results in weekly savings. Driver 1 is 82.2 kilometers with a percentage of 19.38%, driver 2 is 26.34 kilometers with a percentage of 6.70%, driver 3 is 59.37 kilometers with a percentage of 13.68%, driver 4 is 9.7 kilometers with a percentage of 4.29% and driver 5 does not get any savings. text |

PT. X is engaged in logistics, carrying out the process of delivering 19 Liter Gallon
products from a warehouse on Jalan Soekarno Hatta, Bandung City to 355
customers (factories and offices) by 5 drivers using 2 types of vehicles, ankle losbak
and l-300 losbak. Based on the Sustainability Report, the company stated that it is
currently implementing a sustainable product distribution system through logistics
optimization. Currently, logistics optimization is carried out in the upstream part
of production, while the downstream part of production in the process of product
delivery to customers has not been carried out. The product delivery process
problem is modeled into a variant Vehicle Routing Problem which is solved by a
heuristic approach using the Clarke and Wright Algorithm and an optimization
approach using Lingo 18.0 software. The researcher has a hypothesis that there
are differences in the results of solving logistic optimization problems in these two
methods. The purpose of this study was to determine the potential for improving
vehicle routes with a heuristic approach using the Clarke and Wright Algorithm
and optimization methods using Lingo 18.0 software to help solve the company's
logistics optimization problems.
The process is carried out in 3 stages, firstly calculating the mileage of the existing
route, secondly calculating the mileage of theroute Clarke and Wright Algorithm
and thirdly calculating the mileage of the Lingo 18.0 software route. The results of
the mileage of the existing route are then compared against the two methods to
obtain the minimum distance in solving logistic optimization problems. The results
showed that there were differences in the results of solving problems using the two
methods. The optimization approach using Lingo 18.0 software has a minimal
distance so that the potential for improving vehicle routes to existing routes is
considered the best. Route improvement using Lingo 18.0 software against existing
routes results in weekly savings. Driver 1 is 82.2 kilometers with a percentage of
19.38%, driver 2 is 26.34 kilometers with a percentage of 6.70%, driver 3 is 59.37
kilometers with a percentage of 13.68%, driver 4 is 9.7 kilometers with a percentage
of 4.29% and driver 5 does not get any savings. |
