EFFECTIVITY OF NUTRIENT SOLUTIONS ON GROWTH AND YIELD OF BELL PEPPER (CAPSICUM ANNUUM VAR. GROSSUM) WITH FERTIGATION SYSTEM

Bell pepper is one of the commodities that widely used and in a great demand. Mostly bell pepper’s production system use fertigation system (with AB mix solution) to make the use of water and fertilizer be more effective. This research aims to determine the most effective volume of AB mix solution for bell pepper’s growth and yield biomass. The research started from 9 December 2020 to 23 March 2021 at the P4S Kurnia Abadi’s screen house, Desa Pasirlangu, Kecamatan Cisarua, Kabupaten Bandung Barat, Jawa Barat. The research was conducted with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The treatments given were control (K) by giving AB mix solution according to SOP, P1 treatment by giving 75% control’s volume of AB mix solution, and P2 treatment by giving 50% control’s volume of AB mix solution. For data analysis, one-way ANOVA test was used with a 95% confidence level, then continued with the BNT further test. The results showed that reducing the volume of nutrient solution did not give significantly different results on all parameters, so it was better to apply P2 treatment in order to save water and fertilizer.
