PT PINDAD mission is to gain profit to be used in corporate development. By using advance technology and efficiency. To make sure that mission will be acomplished, and to face global market competition, they need good strategy. And as one of Indonesian leading manufacturing company, a good product development strategy is a must. <br />

The purpose of this survey is to measure new product development strategy on PT PINDAD and other manufacture companies in Indonesia. It will measure the implementation of new product development strategy, product, process, organization, and performance. <br />
<br />

Survey shown that new product development implementation in Indonesia is quite good with average of above 3.00 in scale of 5.00. PT PINDAD higher than industry average on almost every criteria. <br />

Just like other industries, top level management also in PT PINDAD make order about new product development strategy. But they did it with outside consideration. The new product developed by PT PIDAD ussually derivative product. <br />

PT PINDAD already has formal procedure in developing new product process, but they dont have a special division to do new product development. The job was done by other division, just like other industries. <br />

Survey shown that company already experience the benefit of new product development performance. Both internally and externally. On PT PINDAD case, the external performace has more benefit than the internal performance. |
