Start-up companies are companies that aim to create new businesses with a rapidly developed model. Typically, start-ups are businesses that operates in an uncertain or high-risk environment. However, there is an increasing concern of employee turnover within start-ups especially in technologybased start-ups. Based on the previous research, technology-based start-ups have to face very high turnover rates, from 19.22% to 50%. Therefore, this study focuses on analyzing the factors that influence employee's intention to stay in a start-up (technology-based) company and seeking for solutions to solve and avoid the problem. This study uses a quantitative method with the object of research are 488 respondents from start-ups (technology-based) employees in millennials and generation Z (21 - 40 years old). The independent variables of this study are work-person fit, reward and recognition, training and development, career opportunities, competitive wages, people and relationships, flexible work, and organizational reputation and Employee Intention to Stay as the dependent variable. Results of this study indicate, work-person fit, reward and recognition, competitive wages, flexible work, and organizational reputation have positive significant which means influences on employee intention to stay in start-ups (technology-based) companies in Indonesia. With the results obtained, this study provides valuable input for start-up companies with a set of factors that influence employees' intention to stay in start-up (technology-based) companies for managing these employees text |
