Every film that displays a storyline becomes a picture of the phenomenon that is displayed, implicitly and explicitly about the meaning and message in it. A film director displays the phenomenon of the story in the film, as a reflection for the people who watch it about insight or information that is not just a series of stories. Parasite is a film that depicts a new perspective with a fascinating story and plot twist in the context of a film with the issue of social inequality in the modern era. The interesting thing in the film Parasite is the depiction of hedonism by characters from poor families, where people think that poor people cannot become hedonists because of their limited abilities. Parasite is one of the films that have a message that shows signs in every scene in class domination. Thus, the Parasite film will be analyzed with a visual presentation that is associated with the hedonism perspective carried out by Kim Ki-taek's family figure who comes from the lower class. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a descriptive method which is analyzed using Roland Barthes' semiotics. This study will describe and analyze the social relations of the meaning of hedonism in lower-middle families, in the form of forms, activities, characteristics, changes, relationships, similarities, and differences. The results of the study show that Parasite is a realistic dark comedy thriller film. This Parasite film shows that there is an interesting phenomenon, where even the lower class people can display their hedonism. The aspect seen in this film Parasite is a reflection of conditions in Indonesian society where the depiction of reality, that hedonism is often shown from the pursuit of luxury, uses many ways that are contrary to the values and norms of society. text |

The film becomes a message that is in a series of storylines and is studied in depth. Every film that
displays a storyline becomes a picture of the phenomenon that is displayed, implicitly and explicitly
about the meaning and message in it. A film director displays the phenomenon of the story in the film,
as a reflection for the people who watch it about insight or information that is not just a series of stories.
Parasite is a film that depicts a new perspective with a fascinating story and plot twist in the context of
a film with the issue of social inequality in the modern era. The interesting thing in the film Parasite is
the depiction of hedonism by characters from poor families, where people think that poor people cannot
become hedonists because of their limited abilities. Parasite is one of the films that have a message that
shows signs in every scene in class domination. Thus, the Parasite film will be analyzed with a visual
presentation that is associated with the hedonism perspective carried out by Kim Ki-taek's family figure
who comes from the lower class.
The research method used is a qualitative approach with a descriptive method which is analyzed using
Roland Barthes' semiotics. This study will describe and analyze the social relations of the meaning of
hedonism in lower-middle families, in the form of forms, activities, characteristics, changes,
relationships, similarities, and differences.
The results of the study show that Parasite is a realistic dark comedy thriller film. This Parasite film
shows that there is an interesting phenomenon, where even the lower class people can display their
hedonism. The aspect seen in this film Parasite is a reflection of conditions in Indonesian society where
the depiction of reality, that hedonism is often shown from the pursuit of luxury, uses many ways that
are contrary to the values and norms of society.
