ABSTRACT <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The Avian Influenza is a spreading disease that is cause by the type A influenza virus (H5N1) which is airborned by various kinds of aves. In Indonesia, the Avian Influenza patients are differentially by three case categories, which is suspect case, probable case, and confirmed case. The recent global spreading of Avian Influenza numbered 258 cases with 154 death on humans (WHO November 2006), meanwhile Indonesia numbered 77 cases with a total death of 62 lives (Mei, 17 2007). <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Considering the number of suspect case is bigger than the probable and confirmed case, the Avian Influenza location spreading is nation wide, and the lack of isolation treatment room available at the refered hospitals and also the absence of isolation treatment rooms at the local district health centres (Puskesmas) which is also nation wide, therefore such a portable product or facility is needed to handle and treat the Avian Influenza suspect patients. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The form of the portable isolation room which become the final assignment project consists of two rooms with the dimension (length, width, and height) of 3m x 5m x 2,2m, and 3m x 3m x 2,2m that can be applied at the nearest local district health centres. The function of this product / facility is complimenting refered hospitals in providing isolation rooms to treat Avian Influenza suspects, anticipate the epidemy / disease spreading and also as the early anticipation before refered to the nearest hospital. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The advantages of this product / facility besides applicable in local district health centres, this product is portable (easy to carry), compact packaging, easy instalation, easy to find materials, user friendly technology, easy to fabricate, and relative unexpensive production costs. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The prospect of this product is quite well considering the high demand of isolation room for treating Avian Influenza and to back up government programs by providing health facility at some areas infected by Avian Influenza. Although the main target of this product is indoor usage, but if necessary in handling / dealing such emergency situations in areas with weak infrastructures, this product is applicable for outdoor usage by adding facility / several components needed. <br />
