Euphoria 'hijrah' becomes a picture of social movements in most muslim youth groups. That can be an aspect of social change by making religious symbols as something appeals to millennials. Visual perception is the process of building an image that has been captured and mixed together with the experience of sensing and cognitive experience to produce the meaning of what is seen. Based on aspects of aesthetic science, visual can be studied using the instrument. This will be able to explore the correlation between the message from the visual and aesthetics of the visual according consumer perception. This study uses qualitative approach with descriptive method to explore the visual of Supersantri calligraphy T-shirts according to muslim youth groups perception in Bandung. From the concept of design Supersantri’s T-Shirt is not only interested in commercial issues, but also the fight for da'wah, learning, and identity motivation. Based on the majority of layout elements on calligraphy, the T-shirt featuring kufi-style arabic calligraphy with medium thickness, Latin text and images that combined into a neotraditional type of contemporary calligraphy. The contemporary calligraphy form that used is neither too simple nor too complicated. Cold Colors dominate the look with many using Symmetrical balance. The most widely used unity is the square-shaped focusing position according to the chest plane. Form is the reason muslim youth to like visual design of T-shirt. Readibility and legibility is not so important to be interested. besides, the reason for interest is often hear the words. text |
