Summary:Klaten is located between two cultural city which is Solo and Yogyakarta, because it is located between the two cities, local people in Klaten prefer to use Solo batik or Yogyakarta batik. In 2019, the regent of Klaten inaugurated the Sindu Melati batik wich can represent the identity of Klaten Regency. The exploration of the motives in this study was carried out to help enrich the types of techniques and compositions in the Sindu Melati batik motif using textile surface design. The results of the exploration of this motif are applied to Victorian-style clothing products so that it becomes the main attraction for introducing the Sindu Melati batik from Klaten.
