Summary: | The impact of rapid development of technology contributes to open competition, which encourages all companies to build an atmosphere and an innovative culture in order to produce products that can be a champion in the global competition. Corporate entrepreneurship is a way for companies to continue in creating innovations and new business units. Companies need to adjust their organizational architecture in order to optimally conduct corporate entrepreneurship within their internal environment. There are five parameters of organizational architecture that can encourage a company to become corporate entrepreneurship, namely leadership, structure, culture, strategy and commercial environment.
As a startup company, the leadership styles that are suitable for eFishery in order to build corporate entrepreneurship are visionary, coaching, and affiliative. Meanwhile, the organizational structure that can encourage corporate entrepreneurship is a matrix with a squad model. However, when each business unit grows bigger, the most suitable organizational structure is a mix of matrix, functional, and divisional. In terms of culture, creativity and innovation are the main axis for the formation of corporate entrepreneurship. In addition, by implementing a culture of continuous learning, sharing knowledge and information, open communication as well as customer orientation, corporate entrepreneurship would become stronger.
In terms of the corporate entrepreneurship model, eFishery adheres to the enabler model in which there is a dedicated budget allocated for innovations while the execution can be done by the current working team
