Merr. bulb water extract and ethanol extract administered orally every day for 21 days on platelet antiaggregation activity, bleeding time and coagulation time in male Swiss Webster mice had been studied. Results showed that after 21 days administration of acetosal 42.25 mg/kg decreased platelet aggregation activity to 1.7 plus 0.8 (x10 3) significantly (p less than 0.05), while, platelet aggregation activity of control group did not decrease significantly. After 21 days, administration of water extract 225 mg/kg, 450 mg/kg, 900 mg/kg, ethanol extract 112.5 mg/kg, and 225 mg/kg decreased platelet aggregation activity significantly (p less than 0.05) to 3.3 plus 0.8, 3.4 plus 1.2, 2.6 plus 1.2, 2.2 plus 0.8, and 2.6 plus 0.7(x10 3), respectively. Administration of ethanol extracts 450 mg/kg decreased platelet aggregation activity to 2.3 plus 1.6 significantly only on 14 th days (p less than 0.05). After 21 days administration of acetosal increased bleeding time (seconds) significantly (p less than 0.05) to 336.80 plus minus 81.85. After 21 days administration of water extract 225 mg/kg, 450 mg/kg, 900 mg/kg, ethanol extract 112.5 mg/kg, 225 mg/kg, and 900 mg/kg, ethanol extract 112,5 mg/kg, 225 mg/kg, and 450 mg/kg (seconds)increased bleeding time significantly (p less than 0,05) to 244.62 plus minus 122.12, 344.12 plus minus 147.87, 260.38 plus minus 78.04, 333.72 plus minus 136.11, 282.34 plus minus 135.04 and 251.22 plus minus 116.01, respectively. After 21 days administration of acetosal, water extract 225 mg/kg and 900 mg/kg increased coagulation time (seconds) significantly (p less than 0.05) to 73.62 plus minus 13.04, 68.82 plus minus 11.31, and 63.66 plus minus 8.08. text
