Description
Summary:Traditional motorized boats are one of the most widely used means of marine transportation in the Indonesian archipelago, one of the areas using these types of ships is Kepulauan Seribu. Even though their capacity is relatively small compared to other fleets, traditional motorized boats “kapal ojek” which is referred to by most of the people of the Kepulauan Seribu, are very helpful for the activities, mobility and economic growth of the people whose socio-economic development is very dependent on Jakarta. Although Traditional motorized boats are important and often used, the safety of these traditional ships is not guaranteed, due to various factors such as the built quality, crew qualifications, unstandardized dimensions and negligence of use, so it is necessary to design an alternative emergency safety device that caters to the behavior of traditional ship so that the safety of ship passengers can be maintained properly in sea accidents.
