One of them is the most populous province in Indonesia, namely West Java and has heterogeneous activities, both in urban and rural areas. The province is one of the largest clusters of pandemic outbreaks in Indonesia. Several policies for handling the pandemic have been carried out by the government, namely PSBB, Proportional PSBB, Micro PPKM, Emergency PPKM, and Level 1-4 PPKM. However, there are not many studies that discuss the implications of these policies and the factors that influence positive cases at the local level. For this reason, this study aims to examine the relationship between factors that influence the number of positive cases of COVID-19 and its handling policies in West Java Province. This study uses multiple regression analysis with the dependent variable being positive cases of COVID-19 in 26 districts/cities in West Java Province in the range from March 2020 to July 2021, and seven independent variables, namely population density, poor people, unemployment rate, insurance ownership. , food security, social mobility, and air pollution. The results of the study show that when viewed in each handling policy, there are differences and similarities in influencing factors. Population density, the poor, the unemployment rate, and air pollution have a significant effect on positive cases of COVID-19. This indicates that the community's economic level and mobility contribute to the occurrence of clusters of positive cases in West Java. The results of this study can be used as input for local governments, especially in paying attention to the economic aspects of the community and mobility in handling and overcoming the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak, for example by providing social assistance and strict regulations on population mobility, and can be used as lessons for other regions. in Indonesia. text |

The COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia has had a lot of impact and influence in various
sectors of people's lives, especially in areas that have a variety of activities and the
complexity of the economic structure. One of them is the most populous province in
Indonesia, namely West Java and has heterogeneous activities, both in urban and rural
areas. The province is one of the largest clusters of pandemic outbreaks in Indonesia.
Several policies for handling the pandemic have been carried out by the government,
namely PSBB, Proportional PSBB, Micro PPKM, Emergency PPKM, and Level 1-4
