Their art practice is based on the principle of collectivism that emphasizes collaborative work. ruangrupa sees the potential availability of a variety of resources owned by groups or art communities in Jakarta that have the same passion to jointly develop it into a larger art ecosystem. In 2015 ruangrupa began to form Gudang Sarinah Ekosistem (GSE) together with other collectives in Jakarta such as Serrum, Forum Lenteng and Grafis Huru-Hara. Since 2018 GSE has transformed into Gudskul, a collective study and contemporary art ecosystem formed to present and support the art infrastructure in Jakarta. The practice focuses on sustainability aspects using a collective governance model that adopts the Lumbung concept. This research tries to analyze the collectivism of ruangrupa and see its relevance in the practice of Gudskul Ecosystem, especially in relation to their sustainability strategies. The purpose of this reserach is in addition to providing a detailed description of the collectivism of ruangrupa, as well as to see its relevance in Gudskul practice, as well as to understand the model of contemporary art practice based on the principle of collectivism. This type of research is descriptive with an analytic and interdisciplinary qualitative approach. This research is based on the Mancur Olson theory, which explains the Collective Action as the actions of a group of individuals with a specific purpose at its center. The research also used supporting theories such as art collaboration theory, art world theory, and sustainability strategy theory. In conclusion, ruangrupa collectivism refers to the model of contemporary art practice based on broader dialogueism, emphasizing collaboration, by utilizing the availability of resources in response to understanding others which then becomes an alternative offer in solving the sustainability art collective and ecosystem, especially in Indonesia. text
