Summary:The hanacaraka script is currently under threat due to modernization, this has made this script begin to be replaced by other writing systems, namely after the introduction of the Latin script and the Dutch script so that the hanacaraka script began to decline which then declined and would gradually be abandoned by the Javanese. Currently the government is starting to make revitalization efforts by looking for figures as road markers, names of government and education agencies, as well as the second language of the people in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. However, the current lack of utilization and renewal of the hanacaraka script makes people saturated so they prefer other cultures, therefore it is necessary to develop hanacaraka characters through rebranding in contemporary visual culture in orderto continue to exist in the future, therefore. This study aims to develop ceramic carving materials. contemporary as a product that has high selling value and can be enjoyed by the wider community. The preservation of the Hanacaraka script into a contemporary sculpture is needed by considering the transformational aspects of the renewal of the letter so that the work can be accepted and does not damage the symbol of Hanacaraka itself. This effort is needed by exploring the form using the basic elements typography of the Hanacaraka script so that it is suitable for use in interior installation products at public room Station Tugu Yogyakarta.
