Description
Summary:In Indonesia there are numerous problems related to water such as floods or deficiency water that caused by climate change. As found in surrounding areas of Citarik river, in Cimanggung district, Sumedang Regency, West Java Province. To solve that problems, Citarik Dam will be constructed with 31 meters height. Citarik Dam is planned to fullfill domestic water needs for region around Citarik river, Tegalmanggung and Sindulang village for 30 years (2021-2051). Reservoir’s life cycle is planned for 60 years, effective reservoir volume is 202042.42 m3, dead storage is 21743.25 m3. Total reservoir volume is 223785.67 m3. The function of Citarik Dam’s spillway is to drain flood discharge. From Snyder Flood Hydrograph, Spillway is designed for 1000 years flood discharge 248.021 m3/s. Side channel, floodway channel, and energy dissipators is designed for 100 years flood discharge 139.788 m3/s. Spillways is designed with Ogee type with 45 meters width and 3 meters height. Stability analysis of spillway structures results that the structure is stable from sliding and overturning failure.
