Summary:The potential of the Malang City area such as the Malangan lotus flower batik motifs becomes an inspiration from the community creativity. However, this icon is still not widely known, lacking attraction, and commercial value. Thus, there are efforts to improve and develop these malangan batik motifs. The revitalization process aims to understand the relevant era and maintain the value of local wisdom using the ATUMICS method. It is used to combine modernity and tradition to increase the value of malangan. Revitalization efforts are carried out through learning, searching, exploring, and remembering. Meanwhile, the development of new batik designs is carried out through visual exploration (motifs, colors, compositions, and product design), designing the product, and the digital creation of batik. The targets in this revitalization process are the millennial generation because they are reflected the consumptive character, high lifestyle, close to technology, and fashion driving the economy. The millennial generation was chosen as the target market to improve the malangan batik produced by MSMEs. and help the economy of Malang city. The purpose of this study is to improve the quality of malangan lotus batik designs, by combining the local wisdom and modernity so that the revitalization tradition can be achieved. The method of this study is qualitative research with the design process. Through this method, it is helpful to known the problems of the Malang batik SMEs as the basis for determining the design process. In line with that, it is also supported by an understanding of the attractiveness and commercial value of the millennial generation for the concept of new batik designs. The data collection techniques in these studies are observation, interviews, literature studies on related objects, and questionnaires. The results of this study show that the attractiveness and commercial interest of the millennial in an attempt to do the revitalization of the batik lotus malangan flower can be increase by improving the quality of the design. As of indirectly affect the economic and local wisdom of Malang City.
