Summary:Bark cloth is a textile artifact of Neolithic culture that was discovered after humans needed other materials that were more flexible than animal skin and fur. By UNESCO, the processing of bark is recognized as part of the cultural heritage, one of which is the Mutuba tree (Ficus natalensis) by the Ugandan people. In Indonesia, bark processing is generally found on the islands of Kalimantan and Sulawesi, whereas on the island of Sumatra there is bark processing carried out by the Sakai tribe for their clothing. Research with combined methods was carried out to produce processing and novelty of the bark material that is usually used by the Sakai Tribe, namely the bark from the Pudu tree (Artocarpus rigidus). So that the result of innovation in processing bark material from the Pudu tree (Artocarpus rigidus) with the conduct of experiments and exploration of materials with hapazome eco-printing techniques. Fashion clothing designed for men and women with the inspiration of the Sakai Tribe clothing shows another potential of the Pudu tree bark (Artocarpus rigidus) as well as innovations in the Sakai Tribe community in processing the Pudu tree bark (Artocarpus rigidus).
