In his direction, Batu City establishes and strengthens its area as a Tourism and Agropolitan Center, especially in East Java Province and is one of the autonomous regions that relies on the tourism sector to increase its own regional income (PAD). Since the emergence of the COVID-19 virus which caused several declines in several industrial sectors, the tourism sector in Batu City was no exception. The number of tourists visiting Batu City has decreased by 30 percent. The existence of a ban on visiting outside the city or to crowded places makes tourists unable to go on tours. In addition, the government also implements a new normal system, where there is a change in behavior in carrying out normal activities. Therefore, this study was conducted with the aim of identifying the factors that influence the decision to visit tourists to tourist attractions in Batu City during the COVID-19 pandemic. The variables used in this study are the characteristics of tourists who are reviewed based on socio-demographic characteristics and characteristics of tourist travel patterns, as well as the determinants of tourist visiting decisions based on the tourism component. This research is a research that uses quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis, as well as factor analysis. The data collection method used is an online questionnaire distributed through several social media platforms such as Instagram, LINE, and WhatsApp. The number of respondents to the questionnaire was 274 respondents from the expected range of respondents as many as 270-540 respondents. Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that there are 6 factors that influence the decision to visit Batu City tourist attractions during the COVID-19 pandemic, namely the service and additional facilities factor, the tourist attraction factor, the amenities factor, the distance factor from the tourist location to the city center and the station/terminal. , the price factor, and the accessibility factor, where the factors that most influence the decision to visit tourists are the service factor and additional facilities. The factors most considered by tourists are service factors and additional facilities. Therefore, tourism managers must maximize additional services and facilities at these tourist attractions in order to attract tourist visits to Batu City tourist attractions during the COVID-19 pandemic. text |
