Almost every region in the world has a belief in mythology, including in Indonesia. The topic chosen for this final project research is Barong and Rangda, Indonesian mythological figures from Bali. Barong and Rangda are visualized with various colors, textures and accessories to represent the meaning of balance between good and bad (rwa bhineda). Barong and Rangda shapes use a lot of colors, accessories, and textures can be applied to textile craft works, by applying a combination of tapestry and fabric painting techniques, in order to obtain 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional visuals. The resulting products can be applied in the interior of international airport to be introduced to tourists, especially foreign tourists, not only as craft decorations but also have stories and values contained in the mythological creatures of Barong and Rangda. In order to create the interior products, qualitative methods were used for the research, while methods used for gaining datas other than literature are, observations, interviews, questionnaires and explorations. text |
