Description
Summary:Bima Stadium in Cirebon is the center of Cirebon's sports activities. This multifunctional arena which has a Sports Hall (GOR) can be used for basketball, badminton, futsal and volleyball matches. However, its use which is limited to large sporting events and the absence of good maintenance has made this GOR neglected and very separated from the surrounding community. The redesign of the stadium is one of the efforts to restore the original function of the stadium and increase its function not only as a sports venue, but also as a recreation center and community gathering. Thus, it is hoped that a “new, lively neighborhood” will be formed by taking into account the structural security aspects. Efforts to design a drainage system and network are also included in the redesign of the Bima Cirebon Stadium. The drainage network is equipped with channels for football fields, street/parking areas and stadium’s roofs. The application of eco-drainage such as bioswale is also included in the design. The construction of a retention pond to temporarily hold water before it is channeled into the city's drainage network is also discussed in this paper.
