Description
Summary:Sulawesi Island is an island in Indonesia that has high potential and connectivity because it is bordered by the Sulawesi Sea, the Republic of the Philippines and the Pacific Sea. One of the seaports in the northern part of Sulawesi Island is the Old Likupang Port located in Likupang II Village, North Minahasa Regency. Limited land is the main problem in the Old Likupang Port so that the development of the Old Likupang Port is carried out in Munte Village, North Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi Province. Likupang Munte Port is expected to facilitate connectivity between islands in the region. In this study, analysis of the need for land and water facilities at the Likupang Munte Port will be carried out based on environmental conditions and predictions of the flow of goods served by the port. Environmental conditions in the form of wave height and direction as well as ocean current direction and speed will be obtained by hydrodynamic modeling using the Delft3D program. Then several alternative layouts of the port can be determined based on environmental conditions from the result of hydrodynamic modeling and environmental data processing. The best alternative layout of the port will be selected based on an assessment in terms of environmental factors, ease of access channel and the cost of building trestle and wharf.
