The spread of the disease is through droplets containing the corona virus and these droplets can stick to various surfaces, resulting in physical contact being one of the factors for the spread of the virus. However, companies in essential and critical sectors such as those in food, health, etc. still have to operate offline. Therefore, the company's management must be able to recap the attendance data from its employees, but most attendance systems still require physical contact. Therefore, a Face Recognition-Based Less-Contact Attendance System was designed which is a presence system that can be used by companies to recap the attendance of their employees, by retrieving attendance data without physical contact with the device. The system design is divided into 9 sub-systems, namely device interfaces, data acquisition, registration, face verification, device control and storage, communication, server control and storage, access management, and server interfaces. The system implementation on the device is done on the Nvidia® Jetson Nano™ Single Board Computer and the server is implemented locally using the XAMPP web serving software. Server-to-device communication is implemented using HTTP POST requests encrypted using AES-128-CBC. The data storage design is implemented using a relational database (SQL) from MariaDB with the backend using the PHP programming language and the server interface (frontend) designed using HTML, CSS with the Bootstrap 4 framework, and Javascript with the Jquery framework. Server development using XAMPP software because it is integrated with MariaDB and PHP, besides that it can also be easily hosted in the cloud. text |
