The increasing level of population consumption has a negative impact in the form of increased waste volume. As a result, the availability of shelter and waste management is increasingly limited so that it needs serious attention so as not to cause problems later. The strategic existence of the TPS Pasar Karapitan makes the TPS service area not only from the Karapitan Market, but also residential waste from 24 RWs scattered in Regol and Lengkong Districts. This results in the accumulation of waste that exceeds the capacity of the TPS. Then, the absence of a clear flow of waste management at the Karapitan Market TPS makes the waste mixed up and not properly managed. So that it is necessary to improve the waste management system based on the principles of reuse, reduce, recycle through TPS 3R. The waste to be processed has a composition of 42.964% plastic, 38.570% organic, 12.807% paper, 2.363% textile, 0.300% glass, 0.097% metal and 2.626% residue. The waste generation that enters the TPS is 4.83 tonnes / day in 2020 with a density of 0.13 tonnes / m3. Through a projection with a moderate scenario for the service life of 10 years, the projection of waste generation entering the TPS in 2033 is 5.67 tons / day or 43.64 m3 / day. Based on the assessment of several alternatives, TPS 3R is planned to have a manual sorting facility with a conveyor belt, organic waste processing using the open windrow composting method, shredding the sorted plastic, compaction of sorted paper, and storage residue. The results of the economic analysis of the design resulted in a negative value of -Rp252,874,941. However, there are also intangible benefits that are beneficial for health, environmental, and social aspects. So that the Karapitan Market 3R TPS is still feasible to operate. Plastic, paper, metal and glass waste will be transported to the Bank Sampah. The residual waste will be transported to the TPA Sarimukti with 1 ritation. text
