Description
Summary:Associated gas is a gas which is dissolved in oil and come to the surface together with oil. Because of it’s low rate and less economical for sale, encourage a gas flaring process to be done. However, huge amount of gas flaring attract some great attention, especially in environmental issues and energy waste. Lack of studies on field development strategy for optimum utilization of associated gas, mainly to generate electricity, encourage authors to conduct this study. An integrated model of development from reservoir to surface facilities conducted in this study. Production flowrate and separator pressure sensitivity performed to determine what the appropriate strategies to be applied. Scenario with the most optimum production profile (both oil and associated gas production itself) will then be converted into electricity production profile which can be generated and given an overview of potential utilization of the generated electricity for operasional needs (especially on artificial lift installation) on a field.
