Since modernization spread all over Indonesia, the existence of a house and its aspects had been changed. The form and type classification of the house into traditional house, semi modern house, and modern house, become evidence the transformations of house based on the phase of human civilization and technology. <br />

The existence of house assumed not only as a residence and to avoid nature dangers, but a house has its particular form and meaning for who stay in it. This research refers to physical aspects, non physical aspects, and the transformation of form and meaning Sundanese traditional house in Desa Sukahayu, Kecamatan Rancakalong, Kabupaten Sumedang, West Java. The Sundanese traditional house of Desa Sukahayus physical aspects and its transformation analyzed based on the form, material, and structure, however the non physical aspects of Sundanese traditional house analyzed by its meaning or cosmology the existence of Sundanese traditional house. <br />
