The prototype will detect the parameters of temperature and electrocardiogram. The system integrates the sensor and the implemented accelerator for QRS algorithm in the FPGA for a biosignal measurement. The system includes a Zynq SoC FPGA and uses IoT for communication. The proposed architecture explores the hardware/software co-design capabilities of the Zynq, which integrates an ARM processor and FPGA fabric in the same chip. The project was built in which the heart rate and body temperature were mon-itored using an ECG module and a thermistor. The data is displayed on the smart device screen by sending the data through the ESP module. To imple-ment QRS, we use Pan-Tompkins method. The implemented Pan-Thompkins algorithm consists of several blocks. They are band pass filter block, deriva-tion block, squaring operation block, integration block, and decision block. The blocks were implemented on a FPGA. The calculating operation block system consists of an adder, register, address loader, memory, and a control unit that outputs the heart rate from the ECG signal. The implemented archi-tecture runs on Zynq’s FPGA, which was synthesized from the VHDL/Verilog code. The proposed system is useful for a real-time health monitoring. text |
