Summary: | This study is to know the significant difference of expire and non expire
resin coating from their adhesive bonding, characterization, and corrosion
resistant under salt spray condition. There are, many paints, coatings and high
performance organic coatings have been developed as a need to protect equipment
from environmental damage.
In this Final Project, Butoxy 33RC Resin is use as a main resin to protect
metal alloys from corrosion. This Resin, is one type of Ready-Mixed, single
component epoxy based coating. This product is specifically formulated for
corrosion control of Magnesium and other alloys.
In this case, we will focus to compare two condition between expire and
non expire resin using salt spray method. The quality of corrosion protection
afford by this process are dependent upon preventation of contaminants being
trapped under butoxy include physical defect on the surface of specimen,
exposure time, and the thickness of coat. |
