Description
Summary:Barium titanate has major progress in research development because barium titanate has a simple crystal structure, high constant dielectric and curie temperature close to room temperature compare to other ferroelectric materials. This research use barium hidroxide and titanum dioxide precursor. XRD (X-ray difraction) result shows the second phase of barium titanate (Ba2TiO4) from the synthesis process. Particle form of barium titanate can be observe through SEM (scanning electron microscopy) characterization. Quantitative and qualitative elements of barium titanate observed through EDS (energy dispersive spectroscopy). The effect of barium titanate second phase is lowering dielectric constant of barium titanate. Dielectric constant of barium titanate at three sintering temperature which are 1000 C, 1100 C, and 1200 C are 148,23; 145,53; and 207,78.
