The creative economy is a sector that is growing rapidly in Indonesia and the city of Surabaya is one of the city that has a lot of potential for creative economic actors which is also supported by the local government. However, the existing creative economy actors still encounter various obstacles that make it difficult for them to further develop their work products. The ecosystem or environment in this city is still considered to be less supportive of the creative activities of its citizens, this opens up opportunities for architecture which is also one of the creative sub-sectors to be able to play a role in answering this problem. The Creative Accelerating Center present to build a city's creative environment in order to meet the needs of creative activists. This project raises creativity through the collaboration of various economy creative stakeholders, which is expected to accelerate the city's economic growth for social welfare. The main design point in this project is to design a building that could inspire people to do creative activities and also to create a creative place that can connect building users with one another, hence permeability and flexibility issues are the focus of design issues in this project. In addition, the potential of the existing site which is overgrown with trees is also one of the things highlighted in the Creative Accelerating Center project.
