The Indonesian government has designated this area as one of the National Tourism Strategic Areas which will become the main attraction for both local and foreign tourists, but this area needs to be supported by good infrastructure in order to become a leading tourism destination. The purpose of this eco-resort project design is to accommodate the needs of tourism in the Lake Toba area that has good service standards and has a design with an emphasis on Batak cultural values, as well as maintaining and preserving the environment around the Lake Toba area. The project will consist of accommodation functions, commercial functions and recreational functions. The project location is on the shores of Lake Toba, precisely in Lumban Pea, Toba Samosir Regency, North Sumatra. There are three main issues raised in this project, including modernity. local culture, and environment that will be the main concern in working on this project. These issues are then formulated to concepts and design strategies for mass form, interior space, outdoor space, and architectural details that make this project a tourist attraction. text
