Summary: | Energy is an important thing of human life. Today, the majority energy sources come from non-renewable energy sources. However, with current population increase makes the availability of energy sources reduced. So it is necessary to consider renewable energy as an energy sources at this time. One of the renewable energy sources is geothermal. In Indonesia, geothermal is promising source of energy because Indonesia has a large geothermal potential. According the Geological Institution, until December 2019 it was recorded that Indonesia's estimated geothermal potential reached around 28 Gwe. One of the geophysics methods that can be used for geothermal survey is the gravity method. The gravity method used to determine the density contrast variation of rock or subsurface material by measuring the acceleration of gravity. The purpose of this study is to determine the distribution of the gravity anomaly in Tangkuban Parahu and its surroundings in relation to the geothermal estimation. The data obtained from measurements using the gravity method must be subjected to various corrections such as drift correction, tidal correction, latitude correction, free air correction, Bouguer correction and terrain correction. The result of this research is a complete Bouguer anomaly with anomaly values ranging from 376.4-397.7 mGal. The results of the interpretation carried out with 2D forward modeling and 2D inversion modeling, it can be concluded that the area has the potential as a geothermal system due to the presence of low anomaly sources that related to the geothermal system reservoir. |
