This stadium is an iconic city-scale landmark that is the main building for the GBLA Sports Complex. This stadium is used to hold football matches and the street around the stadium is used by the community to exercise and hold events such as Sunday markets or festivals. As a place that is perceived as a sports facility for the public, GBLA Sports Complex does not have special facilities that can accommodate the public's sport needs. In addition, the stadium, as a place to hold football matches, has not been able to accommodate the needs of supporters who are outside the stadium or who do not get tickets. This sports complex has the potential as a tourist and recreation place for the public but has not been maximized in terms of development of the area into a tourism and sports recreation facility. The existence of various existing and potential events can be a tourist attraction if they are supported by tourism and recreational support facilities which are currently not owned by the GBLA Sports Complex. The project is planned to be located on a 3.7 hectare site next to the GBLA Stadium which is part of the GBLA Sports Complex. This project will accommodate functions that are not yet accommodated by the GBLA Stadium. The project is expected to increase the value of the GBLA Complex while increasing the quantity and quality of activities there. In addition, this complement will be a facility that can support the needs of tourism and recreation in the GBLA area. In the process of design, there are formulations of issues that will be resolved as basic concepts, that is: (1) capacity issues related to the capacity of public facilities, (2) flexibility issues related to the effectiveness of land use, (3) durability issues related to the issue of damage that has the potential to be carried out by supporters, (4) inclusivity issues related to ease of use, accessibility to all levels of visitors, (5) comfort issues related to the comfort of outdoor and indoor spaces that lead to energy use issues, (6) order issues that lead to how the building design responds to the existing GBLA area, and (7) branding issues that lead to how this city-scale public space has a characteristic that can invite many people to come to the area. Derived from the 7 design issues that have been determined, they are reduced to 3 main design concepts. (1) hard, the project keep the identity of the building in the GBLA sports complex which is studied through the existing of GBLA Stadium which has the character of hard, exposed structure, concrete, (2) fluid, the function which is accommodated by the building can fully fill the entire building space, which means that there is no wasted space in this project such as water that fills a glass fully, (3) soft, because the project will still maintains the fresh air and the character of the rice fields which is the previous land function by making an exposed design and provide a being away feeling for the visitors. text
