Summary:PT. PDS (Purba Damai Sejahtera) is one of major oil companies in Indonesia. It has operated almost a century in Indonesia. Currently PT. PDS has two working areas, located in East Kalimantan and in Central Sumatera. In the past, PT. PDS has ever reached 1 million barrels oil per day, it has made PT.PDS contributed more than a third of Indonesia's national daily oil production. As an oil Company, PT.PDS has Drilling and Completion (D&C) Department. Scope of work of this department is to perform planning and performing drilling, well services, and workover operations. Currently, PT.PDS has more than ten thousand of wells which scattered in some oil fields in the central Sumatera area. There are many types of well in this area, some of them as oil well producer and some of them as well injector. Some of them are still in active and some of them are in the adle position. In conducting activities in drilling, well services, and work over, PT.PDS uses a rig. The rig is operated by rig contractor employee and to be supervised by a representative from PT.PDS. Prior a rig to be moved and works at well site, a leader of rig contractor has to conduct wellsite handover process first with the field operation personnel (production team). The scope that to be handed over is wellsite area, completeness of well head, and production line facilities. Then after the rig has completed working on that well, the leader of rig contractor will conduct wellsite handover over back to field operation (production team) in order to allow a well is able to be put on production (POP) or put-on injection (POI) again. The wellsite handover process that conducted by leader of rig contractor and representative from field operation to be performed with face-to-face meeting at wellsite by using a form well handover. According to this wellsite handover process, drilling and completing team observed there was an opportunity to improve current wellsite handover process to be more efficient and effective by using wellsite e-handover process. By using Lean Sigma method, the wellsite e-handover process can give more efficient and saving with approximately US$ 11.6 M / year to the company. With estimate world oil price is about US$ 65/ barrel, estimate number of well to be completed per month is about 360 wells / month, saving time for wellsite e-handover process per well is about 4 days / well, and average oil well production is about 10 barrels (bbl.).
