Basically, the user experience of an architectural building can be felt in multisensory ways. But unfortunately, most of the emphasis in designing an architectural product form is only focused on visual representation. Other senses are barely represented or under-considered during the design process. Therefore, the resulting buildings do not always meet human needs, especially for those with special needs. Blindness, the inability to see either partially or totally, is one of the highest types of disability in Indonesia. This high number is not accompanied by a decent living, they often have limited access to health, education, training and decent work. This facility is designed with the aim of empowering the blind community so that they can be able to carry out their social functions to achieve independence as the fulfillment of their rights in order to be able to play an active role in living in society, through the presence of an architectural work that provides learning and deep emotional experiences for its users through a quality multisensory design. Multisensory architecture is defined as an architectural design strategy that is closely related to the stimulus of the five senses in connecting the perception and manipulation of objects. Multisensory architecture presents a deep impression of materiality in an effort to increase the memory of a place, so as to create an immersive architectural experience for space users. text
