Summary: | Puspiptek is a Science and Technology Research Center. Puspiptek as an institution that works in the academic field, has a supporting role in surrounding educational activities such as schools and universities. Schools and universities are examples of formal educational institutions that can only be felt by some people. To reach the wider community, it is necessary to hold functions other than formal educational institutions to support academic activities in general. In this project, the library is a solution as a support function for academic activities. Located on Street Raya Serpong, Muncul, Setu, South Tangerang, this fictitious project was initiated by Puspiptek with a land area of approximately ±7,500m². The main issues raised in this design are the issue of Makerspace, public space, and energy saving. The main design strategies include the placement of public spaces as connecting building masses, providing efficient space functions in terms of lighting and ventilation, and implementing several Makerspace spaces in the building. The shape of the building is obtained from the influence of the placement of the 2 main functions of the building, the library and the Makerspace which are then combined with the public space to connect the two functions. The building structure uses a frame structure system with a flat roof and most of the roofs use a synthetic rooftop garden. The functions that will be presented in general are library functions and Makerspace functions. By considering the density of buildings in South Tangerang City, the Library building with a compound mass of 2 masses was obtained. All these masses consist of 5 main floors plus a rooftop and 1 basement floor. With a BCR of 70% or ±5,250m², a maximum FAR of 8, and a minimum GOS of 10%, this project has complied with existing regulations, which has a total ground floor area of ±2,000m², a total building area of ±11,000 m², and a total area of green space of ±2,250m². |
