Therefore, measurement of reverberation time in acoustic field must also apply computer as a control part of the measurement system since conventional measurement system of reverberation time is performed with no computer and is not practical for field application. Furthermore, using computer system, some real instruments (hardware) can be replaced by some virtual instruments (software) in order to overcome complexity of instruments used in the measurements of reverberation time.<br /><p align="justify">Application of AT-MIO-16-E-1, LabVIEW software and NIDAQ driver as a unity of the system, which fixed and added into computer for generating and data acquisition of acoustic signal has shown that there are some significant development on the measurement system of reverberation time at Acoustical Laboratory of Puslit KIM-LIPI.<br /><p align="justify">Comparison between measured results obtained from this developed system and those obtained from the conventional system using level recorder and protactor have indicated good agreement. This means that the developed system with applying computer for measuring reverberation time is valid.<br /> text |
