The recovery and reuse of organic solvents by membrane technologies is a solutions of this problem that was certained for along time ago. In this work, acrylonitrile-glycidyl methacrylate copolymer (PAN-GMA) was prepared as a material membrane for recovery of methanol. Steps of this research include synthesis of copolymer PAN-GMA by radical polimerization, and preparation of PAN-GMA membrane at various concentrations (10percent and 15percent b/b) and evaporation times (10 minutes and 15 minutes) by phase inversion methode. Membrane characterization such as solvents resistant assay, determination of hydrogen and methanol permeability, hydroxide transport assay, FTIR-ATR, and SEM have been carried out. The results showed that the membrane showed good solvent resistant to methanol. Variety of membrane concentration and evaporation times have influenced the porousity of membrane very significant. That was saw with permeability value of hydrogen and methanol. It was decreased with increased concentrations and evaporation times of membrane. Transport hydroxide into the membrane was not occured. Based on SEM analysis its was proved that the membrane morphology is asymmetric. text
