Description
Summary:Abstract:

Seismic waves energy which propagate along the medium will be attenuated. The value which express a sum of energy loss in every single cycle by the attenuation is known as quality factor (Q). The method which used for determination of Q is spectral ratio method.

Study of the attenuation tomography was conducted to give another perspective of subsurface interpretation. Seismic tomography method used in this study is attenuation tomography (Q) of the P and S waves.

The objective of this study is to map an attenuation anomaly of the P (Qp) and S (Qs) waves. The velocity and attenuation tomography images for P as well as S waves consistenly were localized in the same anomaly zone. This anomaly zone is interpreted as the influence of thermal and or weak zones that correspondence to the fault or fracture which is filled with hot fliud
