Description
Summary:In the oil field, where is located two reservoir or more in the same field it’s common that can be found some well which the pressure is high and the other well the pressure is low. This condition can be used by applying surface jet pump method, that is using high pressure well as a power fluid to increase oil rate of low pressure well. In this final project, will be introduced the new method to design surface jet pump by using iteration. This method has been proved resulting a convergen number so that can be applied to design surface jet pump. Moreover, this final project also introduced the modification of surface jet pump by adding ‘by pass’ in the high pressure well pipe which connect to the extra separator. The method to design this modification is using the previous method of surface jet pump design. The advantegous of adding by pass in the surface jet pump is adding the capacity of the former separator, increasing the production rate of low pressure well (which is more valuable than the price of high pressure well), and dividing the rate of high pressure well so that not all of them was used as power fluid in surface jet pump (to minimize the decreasing of total oil rate). The result of this modification is it can increase the production oil rate of low pressure well but the total production rate is decrease the result of using high pressure well fluid as a power fluid.
