This greatly impacts many sectors of life, whether in the academic, economic, social, cultural, etc. The government has given a lot of effort in dealing with this problem. Students as the nation's reformer generation are expected to be good role models for society, so this study aims to see an overview of student health protocols during a pandemic, how the impact of the pandemic on their mental health and quality of life, and also wanting to see how the simulation of its influence affects mood changes. The research was conducted by distributing questionnaires on various social media by the method of Snowball Sampling and obtained 1071 valid respondents with details of 788 female respondents and 283 male respondents. After conducting a chi-square test on independent variables related to stress levels, social and family support, lifestyle changes related to mental health with age and gender as dependent variables, the results showed that women's stress levels were higher than men's, family and social support was only influenced by gender but not for age group, while lifestyle changes related to mental health only affected age group but not gender. In addition, because women's stress levels were higher than men's during the pandemic, stress simulations were carried out on women's mood changes using the damping spring mass system by looking at the estrogen hormone that decreased due to stress and it affected the work of the serotonin hormone. The state of normal and stress mood are influenced by constant, positive, and negative external factors. However, this simulation does not have real data so that in the future, interviews/questionnaires should be conducted to obtain data in order to simulate mood changes based on the character of each respondent. text
