The solution to these problems is by utilizing hydroponic cultivation techniques. The Nutrient Film Technique (NFT) is the best hydroponic system compared to other hydroponic systems because the water circulation continues to flow so that the nutrient requirements for plants are met. This study aims to quantify growth, determine production yields and determine the efficiency of nutrient uptake and water used efficiency in the cultivation of mustard greens. The research was conducted at the start-up Keboen Bapak from February 14, 2021 to May 24, 2021. The sampling methods used were destructive and non-destructive. Observations were made every two days for 20 days to see the increase in height, length and calculate yields and productivity. Other observations were analysis of dissolved oxygen content, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium content of nutrient solution and that was absorbed by mustard greens as well as calculating crop yields and plant productivity as well as water used efficiency. The results showed that the quantification results on horizontal NFT for the growth rate of plant height, stem length, root length, number of leaves and leaf area were 2.38 cm/day, respectively; 1.36 cm/day; 0.88 cm/day; 0.45 pieces/day and 7.87 cm2/day. The results of quantification on vertical NFT for growth rate of plant height, stem length, root length, number of leaves and leaf area were 2.63 cm/day, 1.00 cm/day, respectively; 1.46 cm/day; 0.37 pieces/day and 5.00 cm2/day. The productivity values of mustard greens in horizontal NFT and vertical NFT are 38.11 tons/ha and 51.14 tons/ha. The efficiency of nutrient uptake in mustard greens for nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium were 68.35%, 74.40% and 24.19%. Water used efficiency when cultivating mustard greens is 18.48 kg/m3. Overall, mustard greens grew better in the horizontal NFT system than the vertical NFT based on the t-test with 95% confidence level on the growth parameters. text
