Description
Summary:The COVID-19 pandemic has brought many changes to the urban environment, such as the closure of public parks in Bogor as a measure to prevent the spread of coronavirus. In contrary, public open spaces, such as neighborhood parks, can be beneficial to urban residents if they are designed by managing social interactions, with continuously implementing social and physical distancing policies and health protocols. All things considered, the purpose of this research is to develop design principles for neighborhood parks that are adaptive to the pandemic in the city of Bogor. This study is a research leading to design that uses a mixed-method with an exploratory-sequential approach. From the exploratory-sequential approach, this research has an instrument-development design structure in which the researcher uses qualitative data results, that are analyzed by content analysis, to help build the instrument, which is a questionnaire that is analyzed quantitatively using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. The results of this study are the criterias: safety, health, environmental sustainability, user oriented, adaptability, accessibility, and identity that are ranked according to the intensity of importance. The design principles are then formulated from the literature study, AHP analysis, and other considerations. Using the AHP method, it can be seen that Taman Sempur is the most adaptive neighborhood park in Bogor. Schematic illustrations and illustrations that depict the application of each design principle in the most pandemic adaptive neighborhood park in Bogor is constructed.
