INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/61038 Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education Regulations Number 20 of 2017 requires scientific publications for Head Lectors and Professors in order to encourage an increase in the quantity and quality of scientific publications at national and international levels. The increasing number of publications in international journals and reputable international journals will encourage Indonesia to be able to compete with other nations. Currently, Indonesia's number of international publications is still far below that of developed countries, even below Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. There are also further rules imposed by the university level that require students to publish scientific publications as a graduation requirement because students are also considered as prospective researchers to succeed lecturers and professors. This stipulated regulation has criteria where published scientific works must have standards in accordance with existing provisions. One of them is accredited national journals and international journals. The Indonesian government created an accrediting agency, namely the Science and Technology Index (SINTA) with the order of S1 to S6. As for international journals, the Indonesian government refers to the Elsevier Journal or Scopus Indexing as a standardization of quality journal institutions. This background exposure brings the author to be able to examine and analyze the current business, namely the Research and Publication House of Islamicate Institute, where there are regulations for journal managers to be able to make the institution have a national and international reputation. The researcher uses a qualitative methodology to analyze what are the barriers for the Journal of the Islamicate Institute to get national and international accreditation. The analysis was carried out using the interview method, then a literature review which was interpreted through Root Cause analysis, GAP analysis, then the results of the analysis would be used to map the strengths and weaknesses of the Islamicate Institute through SWOT analysis, which would then map out solutions through the TOWS Matrix. The results of the solution are implemented as a strategy through the company's strategy in order to get the best strategy formulation for the Islamicate Institute in achieving its goal, which is to become a journal of national and international repute. text
